how do you hold it?
movies/ tv always show people kind of gingerly cradling it, bun opening upward.
i hold it with the opening to the side. i think you get a better bun/ dog/ bun taste experience that way.

i guess the thinking with the opening up method is not spilling your toppings?

Same

When I get an overloaded dog (like a Chicago dog) I opt for the plastic knife and fork :shudders:

i dont usually opt for tons of toppings, so stuff crumbling out the side osnt really a concern for me

Depends on the toppings. Chicago dog or sloppy Coney--open end up. Just mustard or onions or something then sideways

If I'm eating a hot dog, I'm probably starving and/or grilling/drinking.

So, honestly, I'm probably a two or three bite guy. I inhale those things like phishsweden inhales bananas.

depends heavily on the volume of toppings you're putting on the thing

if it's a relatively small amount, such that you can close the bun most of the way, yeah, I'm turning it sideways so that I'm getting that solid bun bite (lol marv albert) at the top/bottom of my mouth

but if it's fully loaded, it's impractical to try to turn it sideways

you've got to hold it opening upward, and kind of gingerly cradle it as you bite

squeeze too hard and shits coming out everywhere

Opening up, thumb on one side, pinky through middle on the other, index roams around.

Wait, what are we talking about again?

I usually cook up some sausage as well...same thing tho as a dog.

Buns, Mustard, Kraut, Onions and some Relish.

Eat them over a plate and whatever falls off goes to another one.

I love Japa Dog. It's in Canada and my favorite. You have to hold it with two hands and approach from an angle. All the dogs are loaded with yummy toppings.

In aseheville theres a venezualan hotdog foodtruck. Itsdank except most come with mayo and shoestring tater chips among other toppings. Rid the nastiness and they are terrific. Very differant dogs than vienna nathans sbbrets and that kind
