This event has always intrigued me but I've never felt confident enough about it to actually pull the trigger. Have fun though!

This will be my 4th

It is a non stop party, I highly recommend it.

Take a couple extra days off of work afterwards though. ;)

A friend of mine is in a band that js played jamcruise multiple times. I said to him a while back "dude jamcruise must be so cool!" And he replied "jam cruise is so cool. The people who go on jam cruise? Not so much."

There are freaks just like every festival.

We find it fun as hell. Freaks don't bother us, but they do entertain us

It differs from the festival crowd because everyone on board has money.
You remove the puppy puller gypsy wook because they could never afford jam Cruise.
You just get the opposite end of the spectrum.
Incredibly spoiled rich kids working off of daddy's credit card.
Mostly it is people that make good money blowing off steam, some of them have hit every Jamcruise

I know a guy early 50's who has been to every single one. Went solo, went with wife, went with bros.

No fucking way could I go if i had a 1,2 3 year old at home.

Shit we went to Alaska for our 25th anniversary and were about ready to kill people after 6 days at sea.

Re: the last two posts

As for your Alaska cruise
I would never go on a normal Cruise because I would be bored after a day, let alone a week.
On Jamcruise there is music from 11 a.m. until 5-6 a.m..
Hard to get bored.

As for people getting busted on the way on to the boat.
That is a Darwin award recipient.
Stupid people are everywhere

We were off the ship on shore excursions all but 2 days. cruise is a good way to see places like Ketchikan and Juneau.

It was just weird dealing with all the people. they really are floating cities.

oh man. wow. just look at that lineup.

Robert Randolph super jam!?
Keller Williams!
DJ Logic!
Galactic!

I mean where else could you possibly see these bands all together except for at every shitty jam fest 10 years ago?

And the normal Cruise ship crowd are annoying.

You should see the looks when we pull into a port next to another cruise ship.
We we're in Mexico and a band started before we left port. We we're in line right next to the
People getting on to the other boat, I heard more than a few of them say they wish they were on our boat.
The boat just blasting funk and it was mostly young people in line to our boat and
a bunch of retirees getting on the other boat.

I'll take bands that mattered in the early 2000's for $500, Alex.

It's O.K. Trout

You are too uptight for the boat anyway, somebody would just roofie your ass and leave you ashore.

You would fit in on the retiree cruise much better.

I can't think of any scenario that I would willingly go on a cruise ship. Much less a cruise ship populated with annoying ass jamband fans and bands that I hated even when they were relevant. the "jam scene" is some of the worst music in the world.

But thats just me. I see its sold out so I'm sure its fucking awesome. I was just wondering what the lineup to this thing was and was cracking up how shitty it seems to me. and cruises in general sound fucking awful.

trout, a lifestyle cruise might be good for you.

The Alaska ones were cool if you did something physical, like rafting or hikes, sea kayaking.....

plus u can buy weed in alaska, and bring on ship (especially vape pens)

and being roofied so I forget about being on that seems like the best part of that scenario.

but I'm sure you will have a ball so who cares what I think? I'm just a dick.

went on jamcruise ten years ago and had an awesome time. some of the lineups don't appeal to me anymore but this was just before UM/Biscuits started their annual Holidaze festivals and we had so much fun..can't really compare it to a normal cruise - wouldn't do that either. If you have the money and like the lineup I'd recommend it 100%

skagway juneau and ketchikan are awesome. thats a lot of sea days tho.

Cunard will have top shelf everything. you'd want the unlimited booze package for sure.

Another thing about the lineup. There are usually three stages going at the same time, so if there's a band playing you don't care for just go to one of the other stages

I mean that would be tough. What if KDTU, Lotus and Dumstaphunk were all playing at the same time?

When the announce the schedule, there are always hard choices. Since most bands do two sets, you can usually make most of the sets you want to see.

It's a huge party. You'll have a blast. Definitely make it to the late night jam room.

we did the Disney cruise out of Vancouver in 2013 and I absolutely did not bring any weed over the border and went without for the week. Major bummer
