We were at a popular park and I saw a small crew pull up in a news van and start chatting with parents. I made myself part of the group (lol) and b4 I knew it I was being interviewed and they videoed me putting my kid in his safety seat and driving off.
The questions and subject where concerning reports that when a child is wearing a wintercoat, safety seats aren't as effective.

One reason is folks tend to not fasten their kids in as tight because of the discomfort of a bulky coat. Also I guess they are more likely to slide clean out of a coat and into the windshield due to the harness holding the coat but the material of modern puffy coats allows them to slip right out. I said I let him ride coatless cuz we rock the heater. Gets his coat when he gets out the car..

Tune in and see us. Starts in 20 min. Not sure when during the news the piece will air but I suspect toward the end.
I'm sure you are all as excited as I am.

I asked them to edit my face hard to make up for not having my usual make up on that gives my skin its natural looking flawlessnezz

Are you sure it was a news team at the park? Are you just it wasn't... Nothing?

Yup. They ran it. Funny. I love running into randomness.

Last time I was on the news was for saving a drowning guy in the river. I was drunk but gave a good interview. They used the word hero on that one. Parent was all I got on this one. I think hero would have been appropriate. Lol.

Oh it wasn't like that. Normally I wouldn't want to be on the news but this was a small local thing and I GURANTEE if it wasn't something fun to show my kid then I wouldn't want anything to do with news.
Plus the xanax had me feeling pretty loose.

FIST BUMP: I am mega pro carseat safety first and this is a big mistake that I see (age of Instagram) the most along with twisted straps, low chest clips, and forward facing way too early. Then there's LATCH and so many more things, I could go on and on. Car seats are fucking hard, but installed properly and by following the manual for your particular seat they will save children's lives.

i think it's the choppy editing and that they're never looking for thoughtful commentary
they just show weird soundbites

Regarding forward facing...

My daughter is 2y4m and 40" / 33 lbs. I'm not sure when is best to transition from rear facing. Rear facing weight limit is 40 lbs but there is no height limit for her seat. Think that she will hit the weight limit first? She is tall though, has been growing an inch a month the last quarter

No but I have looked through their archives or what I could find of them online. Woulda been like 2000 maybe? I am positive it would be great. I was wet and had been drinking. By the time the I review happened i was wrapped in a fire department blanket.

Also had been given a nice fire department hoodie. Sometimese I would wear it. Then I discovered on accident once that when wearing it I didn't have to pay for donuts and coffee at many places. Came in handy for a few years. I never said a word. They just saw the crest or whatever its called when a badge is printed on cloth and said my $ is no good here.

dude, you haven't even scratched the surface

shirt with a "cancer survivor" logo or pin
military uniform or military-issued fatigues

i mean, if you're going to fraudulently get free shit in a way that makes you morally despicable, why not go all in?

The fuck is the point of heroism if getting free donuts for your heroism is morally despicable

Because I never thought about it? One day maybe a couple years later I went to get coffee and donuts and happened to be wearing it. I handed the money over but it was refused. Its true that I should have said I don't deserve the gesture as im not a firefighter. But instead I took the shits cuz I saved a drowning mofo! And over time I did wear it on purpose to see if it would work again. It did. And the scales are even at about 6 donuts and 6 coffees from a gas station= one Mexican human life.

Nope. Wouldnt know how to do that. It just wasn't driven. Garage kept. Not even rust on the tailpipe.
