4 episodes in. Period pieces take a few episodes for me, but now that I feel a bit more comfortable with the dialogue, I’m enjoying this one very much.

Saw an interview w the leads a short time ago. They said that although the vast majority of dialogue is fictional they’ve heard from a fair number of people who were either directly involved or witnessed the events portrayed. Those folks said that a lot of it is pretty close to how those things actually happened.

I also read somewhere that the queen herself has watched season 1 and really liked it

Next season rather than doing makeup they’ll apparently have new actors to play the lead parts in their older age.
