Whenever my Wife's immediate fam is in town, she gets into a funk for a day after they leave. I feel bad for her.

Same.

All of my siblings live out of state. My brother is in town and I saw him last night for the first time in a year or two. I feel the funk. It's so bittersweet.

I miss "home" insofar as I miss my friends, knowing my mom is nearby just in case I want to be around my mom. I miss having a network of support around me.

Pretty much this is me. I don't miss DC area at all since we moved to Boston, but I do miss friends and family.

That's a tough one. My brother and mom live in Carlsbad so it's nice. The rest of MHz nieces and nephews live in Denver. Sucks when they leave town.

I don't really get "homesick", I think because I've moved so much in my life, but I miss places I've lived from time to time.

When I go home to Philly I don't miss it when I leave. Rearvieved that a long time ago. Great city. Love the sports teams but I have a whole different life now.

I still live about an hour from where I grew up so I still see my friends and family routinely, except for the ones who’ve moved away from me... I definitely miss them a lot.

I think I would be the same way though if I was away from home and family. I’m sure it would be very hard.

I go home once or twice a year and get sad when I leave because my all of my immediate family lives close by in Oregon but I know Colorado is where I belong. I think the sadness comes from being terrified I might never seen them again/someone dies.

My hometown or childhood house are not places I remember fondly. I wouldn't get homesick of those places, sometimes I am missing my current residence but only for solitude and rest.

It's why I don't want to move away. There is no place on Earth that could give me something better than seeing family whenever I want.
