I made peace with rising early several years ago.
I have the capacity to be quite productive during those early hours, but not if I have to be quiet 'cause others are still asleep.

Up between 4:30-5:00 just about every day.

Slept until 6:00 on Sunday. It was awesome.

Wife used to be a teacher... I know the drill.

Although she can always sleep in. but would have to reign it in at the end of August each summer.

Gar, I’m the same way. The trick is perseverance. Wake up at 5, read for a bit, close your eyes, wake up at 730, read, maybe listen to a boring podcast, wake up at 10, read, get out of bed at noon.

It’s pretty great once you get the hang of it.

I agree

But my rent is ridiculously cheap because he needs to do work on the house, so I can't complain

It started at 730 and I was out late and didn't get to bed till 2

But I guess it's digging, not hammering

Up before 5 again, and this is my first Saturday morning off in awhile. Golf outing I was supposed to play in today was cancelled because of the rain. Oh well, we need the rain.

I like being up early, but I don't like how long it's taking these days for the sun to come up.

I really did. Last 14 days have been tough. Now I'm fairly buzzed after meeting a friend at a brewery to get some Vermont Beers and just to catch up.

Need to get in a ride. It's been like the West coast with this crazy mist thing going in the last 2 days

Went to bed past midnight. Still wide awake around 6ish. Even had an entire bed to myself to get comfortable in. Still laying here though.

Up every hour all night. This is probably the worst night of parenting I’ve had yet. Dad and baby both have the bug that’s going around. Day 3 dawning, and I realize with horror that I’m getting it now, too.
