Sucks to have a front row ticket go unused.

Unused? Ugh, that's a damn shame.

Ugh it really is and sorry my man, really did plan on going, had plans change last minute. Wife is the boss. Can’t believe no one else wanted it

I like stout in CapHill for HH

Also a fan of Linda's and Lost Lake.

Dark bar is hit or miss. If you have it, Metier is just next door and has some good beers and very underrated food on their HH menu.

I'll be skinning and beacon practice with friends most likely at Hyak @ Snoqualmie Pass.
Should be a good day for cool groomers though. Enjoy.

I'd join you, but my daughter has a soccer game early afternoon.
Semi-finals of the all-city tournament for rec league. It's a BIG deal to her.

i don't know how you steven's folks deal with that weekend hwy 2 traffic. also the parking, jesus.
i guess the same way i deal with 3022' elevation and the resulting variable snow conditions at sno pass.

Good point.

Suprise - A hint since you are new in town:
The parking lot at Stevens is significantly under-sized. Which does keep the number of folks on the hill to a manageable amount.
But it fills by 8:15-8:30 on a weekend day.
You don't want to drive all the way up to get denied. FYI.

Stevens lots aren’t too bad right now. We left at 715 last weekend and had easy parking. After the new year when lessons start we’ll be on the road at 6am

we ski at snowqualmie (where maki skis) it's called summit at snoqualmie but every body just calls it by the former.

hubby gets us up at the buttcrack but i like getting up there early and putting my gear on in the lodge. we park at the summit central parking lot and take the central express over to the silver fir chair and cut over to the rampart chair via the east crossover.

Image

id like to get to the backside of hyak this year and do solitude.

I just looked at the strangers music listings. This looks like the best show in town tonight: https://www.thestranger.com/events/2556 ... mn-scandal Hot Damn Scandel is a solid swing jazz/jug band type thing & Jason Webley is a very very good folk singer with a sense of humor.

Where are the Honeydrops playing? I'm sure someone could get you in somehow. For random music & drinks the Seamonster, Royal Room & Black & Tan are usually safe bets for good times.

si. poppy. toscana.

It was in march cuz i quit driving the 520 in feb. and didn't start downtown till april.

was so bad we could not get back on the 90 because of slides. they cxl'd night skiing that day.

I spun off 360 until 415-ish, then had like 3 beers at the central upstairs bar, and some chili.

then changed gear in car, saw the line of cars trying to get on 90 and went to dru brew.

that chili went right thru me at the bar and I crushed the shitter at dru.

It was the first day their spring pass went on sale.

epic day.

Cool Website. Never seen those historical markers before.

And Check out Stevens on 12/7-8 2012.
69" followed by 48" the next day.
The 2 best days of skiing I've ever had. Diciest drive over the pass ever!!

The interesting thing about that storm was it was all Puget Sound Convergence Zone based. Snoqualmie got inches, and Baker maybe a foot.
And it wasn't forecast, so only a typical early season crowd on the hill.

If you kept your belly button above the snow, it was great.
Once you went deeper than that you stopped, no matter how steep the hill.

I caught a couple country club days at Alta a few years back. overnight dump -> interlodge -> avy closed 210 -> lifts started at 1130. I ran reverse around the worlds.. Collins -> High T -> Eagles -> thirds -> transfer tow -> Collins.

Got in 5 laps before keither madness showed up. he had 6 hours in his car up the 210.
