I swear every day you think he couldn't top himself he does. Presser is just more BS.

It's been said that Twitter would be his downfall but at this point it's looking like the nation is the one taking the hit.

Someone should tempt him further with the absolute goddamn FACT, that should this contest be in any way televised, perhaps just the reults, it would het record breaking ratings. Nobody could not watch this baby get told the obvious results , and then cry it was rigged blah blah.

I guess I could just quote myself from yesterday in that just when you think it couldn't get worse he outdoes himself, again. Almost every day.

Either this is all part of some ingenuous master plan, or he is unraveling, in real time, at an incredible pace.

The Vanity Fair airticke suggests the latter.

I've pondered the idea of a master plan but at this point what could that be? I thought it plausible but this week and a half or so I think was the tipping point for me. Way too many things coming from multiple sources in such a short time span. 25th amendment seems like the way it could happen if he keeps this up. Dude is going to flee to his FL compound as soon as he can. It's about time we all start playing grown up, put the Lib/Con discussion aside, and collectively admit that this experiment should come to an end sooner than later.

Donald Trump sat and laughed with Fox News host Sean Hannity as the “Retreat” bugle call was played. Tradition dictates that members of the military and civilian leadership stand at attention to respect the U.S. flag during the solemn ceremony.
Trump’s act of disrespect occurred during an interview that happened in a hangar at the Air National Guard base in Pennsylvania.
Trump referred to the bugle call as a “nice sound,” and asked Hannity if they were playing it “in honor of his ratings.”

As the official Army website notes, playing “Retreat” is “one of the oldest traditions in the U.S. Army, which dates back to the Revolutionary War.” Playing the song is used “to signal the end of the duty day and pay respect to the nation’s flag.”

As “Retreat” is played, the Army website explains, “Once the bugle sounds, all personnel driving on the installation should stop. Service members and government civilian personnel are encouraged to turn off their vehicles, and, if safe to do so, exit to render the appropriate honors.”

The late comedian Robin Williams, while performing for soldiers in Kuwait, stopped in the middle of his comedy routine to stand at attention and honor the flag during the “Retreat” ceremony.

It just doesn't matter. He could take a piss on the flag and his supporters would stick with him.

I do. The GOP will protect him no matter what, rather than admit he is a terrible candidate, president and person and that this whole thing was a terrible, terrible mistake.

It depends on whether the Democrats put up a decent contender and if/when Trump uses a racial slur before then.

Shoot a guy on 5th Ave too.

But not everyone who voted for him are his "supporters"

the real issue here is the electoral college. He can win the right states and win.

When Trump drops the N-word (and make no mistake he most certainly will); they will jus respond with "but that's what they call each other." "So a white guy can't use the N-word but a black guy can? That's reverse racism"

Mark it. It will happen. They already know what to say.

I can only imagine the contingency plans they have in place for every conceivable scenario: “But Obama said it on WTF!”

If there was ever a thought of a behind the scene strategy it's almost like he looks to stir up so much shit to lower the bar, then hits everyone with a lot of activity which started last night with Hannity rolling over into today with facetime and accomplishments.

i kinda hope he sticks around - i think pence would accomplish more than trump and trump weakens the GOP.
I hope trump sticks it out, the dems overcome the GOP in the midterms, and we get someone worthy of the presidency in 2020.

they've been working on it since day 1.
it takes a lot to impeach a president and i don't see it happening so long as there is a republican majority.

Republicans are waiting to pass their tax-reform bill before they move to impeach Donald Trump, a former Republican member of Congress reportedly told a former US labour secretary.

In a Facebook post, Robert Reich said the former senator, an old friend of his, told him Republicans are "just praying Trump doesn't do something really, really stupid before the tax bill."

Speaking over the phone, Mr Reich said he asked his friend whether other Republican senators were preparing to follow Senator Bob Corker and "call it quits with Trump".

His source told him: "Others are thinking about doing what Bob did. Sounding the alarm. They think Trump’s nuts. Unfit. Dangerous."

Donald Trump says it's 'frankly disgusting the press is able to write whatever it wants'
He said the US President's personal attacks on his own staff "got them to notice all the other things," such as his threats about North Korea.

This makes it sound like if they don’t pass the tax bill, they don’t get to impeach him.

Exactly. And it’ll be a while if we do see it.

But every time I read/hear one of these stories, I remind myself that the Mueller investigation is running quietly, steadily in the background.

Y’all realize how devastating this tax bill is? Not only will it put me in financial ruin, but it will send this country right into a recession that we won’t be able to recover from.

This is worse than the travel ban, than the healthcare bill, than Charlottesville, than Paris, than everything. This is the worst thing that trump has attempted yet. It’s an emergency of epic proportions and has to be stopped no matter what.

But that’s just my opinion.

But hey, tax bill passage = Trump getting impeached, according to that one guy.

Won’t do me any good at that point. I’d take trump for 8 years vs this tax bill being passed. That’s how bad it is. And I hate trump. Like acid in my mouth.

Just because he gets impeached it doesn’t
Necessarily mean he is removed from office

What's he going to be impeached for? The only unconstitutional thing he's actually done so far is bomb Syria. And Democrats cheered and voted to renew the AUMF when he did that.

If he gets impeached, they’ll still have control with Pence, no? They may even have better luck passing something with him. So why not just get rid of him now?
