jushooks's obsession with the Cubs is laughable. You'd think the White Sox were the ones that hadn't won in close to 100 years. Oh, wait...

Yes, I am aware. And prior to that, it was 1917, right?

It was good for baseball as a whole I think.

Mega positive exposure for the game.

That was an excellent world series made epic by the history of the Cubs and to a lesser extent the drought of the Indians.

I mean fighting back from being down in the series to an extra innings, rain delay game 7 win?

The best writers in Hollywood couldn't have scripted it better.

That was a tough fucking stretch for a cubs fan.

03- historic choke job fuuuuuuuck
04- Boston breaks their 80+ year streak fuuuuuuuck
05- White Sux breaks their 80+ year streak fuuuuuuck
06- Hated rivals the cardinals get another ring fuuuuuuuck
07- swept in the first round Boston double dips fuuuuuuuuuck
08- swept in the first round fuuuuuuuuck

Dark times. It was too much. I mostly stopped following baseball after that until they hired Epstein.

don't forget Fowler's epic lead off homerun to start the game....that fucking game had EVERYTHING...right down to the wheels starting to fall off for the Cubs (Hendricks not getting a couple in the box strikes called then grandparossy getting hit in the head by pitch and falling over in the same inning) to me, it was worth the wait and I'm glad I never stopped rooting for the lovable WINNERS.

no plates, only bobble heads, framed photos, rally towels, mini bats and a couple banners that hung on the street lights around wrigley...

I'm torn on that.

I mean I probably will but Doug and I had something special. Even if the food was exactly the same, it won't be as good.

Have you been to Hot G Dog?

Place the Garcia brothers who worked at Dougs opened?

I'm at a gala and they're doing a silent auction. They have Pat Hughes' scorecard from game 7. Really cool. Let me know if you guys want me to bid on it for you. I think it's already up to $350

Pretty big series coming up this week, 4 against the Nats in Washington, have to face Gio, Scherzer, and Strasburg. Not make or break by any means but it will be interesting to see how they match up. Starters have been better recently, bullpen has been solid, it's all about the bats coming alive.
