Woah...shit is close!

House full of evacuees, 2 of our 3 hospitals evacuated...1500 structures burnes.. 0% contained.

Basically a 45,000 acre wildfire is rolling through town.

Stay safe folks!

Was black out on the coast with just red sun poking through...pretty cool looking considering :)

Huge parts of North santa rosa burned....a lot of major businesses.

my parents live on the east side of sonoma, 10 minutes out of town on your way to Napa. They've been evacuated but are safe at a friends house. We don't know if their house (the house I was raised in) is still there.

Shit is crazy. Via FB I already know of 4 high school friends that have lost their houses. And dozens of others that don't know if their homes still exist.

it's so nuts. I mean, fires aren't supposed to just sweep through towns like this. And Santa Rosa is a pretty big city (relatively), 160,000 people. How does this happen so fast? It's tough to comprehend.

160k is a huge city by the way...

Yes I've never been anywhere close to a dire like that, thankfulky.

I used to work with a girl from California. One fall day someone next to the office was burning leaves, yeah really  , anyways she didn't realize it and jumped up from her deak amd went running to the window. I was like what's up? She said that smell therapist be fire coming!

Unless like that just some asshole burning leaves that's typical in PA. She said when you smelled that IN California you packed for shit and ran

Coffee park is pretty deep in the city...wild it jumped over there so fast. several of the huge hotels on the northeast side are gone.

Seems like it's contained to outside the city now? Not real certain.

Unbelievable, does not compute how a city that big can burn down :(
