Liking the looks of the setlist (even with Number Line). Will check it out in the morning. Just got back from Beethoven's 9th and need some time to decompress...

Liked Sand, CDT, and Split. That's about it.
Overall, very rough around the edges. Kind of a bizarro show: sounded more like a 12/28 and 12/28 sounded more like a 12/29. Weird band.

Both shows were pretty ok and had their moments. I'm not really hearing the huge difference in quality between night 1 and night 2 that some of these comments would suggest.

I suppose night 2 contained more shitty/newer material

Pretty decent show but it sounded like last night should've been the warm up show. Hard to pinpoint what sounded off, just that they didn't sound on their game like the night before.

Looking forward to tonight.

Upon relisten the show doesn't hold up for me. I do really like the 2.0-style Ghost jam, though, but I'm a 2.0 guy

As for Number right after.... :x

It was my friend’s birthday last night, so he enjoyed the placement.

Listened this morning at the gym. Thought it was great...thread did not deliver.

The thread definitely did not.
The show was great.

Pottery’s gif game is amazing though. Loving it.

that fact that there are people out there who thinks last night's show was "great" shows Phish can't do no wrong.

they have a diverse enough fan base that no matter what they play, there will be people out there who enjoy it.

that's quite an accomplishment for any band.

Absolutely. And to each, their own.
Even a subpar show last night for me won't keep me away from checking out tonight's show. This band is still excellent.

I'm not paying for the stream tonight.....I generally don't get on the pirated streams....if feels like I'm stealing from Phish....

but after last night, they owe me one :)

Being there versus watching it makes a HUGE difference for sure.
That second set was super sweet though. Regardless of where you heard it.

Maybe. Having been to many others, and listened to many, many more that just sounded better to my ears matters, too.

Still, I am so glad that you and others think last night was so good. It's what keeps the band going, for sure. As I said, this band is still the best band for me, even with shows like last night.

Or they just can’t please everyone.

I didn’t listen to much of last night, but it just sounds flat to me, like maybe Trey isn’t feeling well. It’s just lacking something that I can’t really put a finger on.

Just got done listening to the 1st set. Solid. Liked the Destiny Unbound. Let's see where this 2nd set goes.

There are some interesting ideas going on during Chalkdust but it seems they struggled to truly link up for the bulk of it's run time.

I heard some potato chip crunch sounds during martian monster. Have they ever used those before?
