3rd set is usually a shit show, and ASIHTOS was great. When was the last time there was a solid 3rd set jam on NYE?

Moma was good too.

I think the whole thing is just a little stale. Take a year off. Do something different. More isn’t always better. MSG is starting to feel like Thursday Night Football.

If they gave a shit about vibrancy for the band - an open question, to be sure - they never would have played these dates at MSG. Imagine the new energy had they played these four shows in New Orleans or really anywhere else.

I like the pirate ship theme alot more than the falling umbrellas thing from last year (?)....but the song selection could have been alot better. Assumed the set would close with the ocean, and assumed waves would be played. Perfect place to add a new ween cover (ocean man, mollusk, she wanted to leave). Missed opportunity. And MSG is stale, play somewhere else for chrissakes.

The venue's fine. I'd rather see them do it the way they did in 2002/2003, start off the run with the NYE show. The band is fresh and everything's on the table.

Looks like the best part of the third set was no one ITT knowing that Francis is just one of Boogie2988’s characters.

That’s magical.

Yeah. That was good.

Still...this was better than 2016 and the golf cart stunt, whatever year that was. And 2011, better than that too.

Thought last night was a solid show.

You have to be really jaded to complain about a NYE stunt. "I was expecting robots and dinosaurs! Balloons again? Ugh! Pirate ship?"

Auld lang syne and balloons are welcome every year.

Some stunts are better than the others, I enjoyed the stunt and the theme of the set.

Really enjoyed the show. My little monsters were on the couch getting their iPad on while I was in the kitchen going all silent disco with the headphones on...then my wife got home from work. She was appreciating my groove though. Good times.

There are a few good TAB songs to call up. I’d like to see Windora Bug get another go

Yeah, I always liked Windora Bug. Fun tune. But Soul Planet? Really? Just terrible.

Sweet!

I didn’t read this thread, can someone fill me in on the light-up bracelets? I think Taylor Swift did something similar.

TAB tune? I was wondering what the hell it was, have not heard it but on the title alone I was guessing it was some 70's Ohio Players tune

Haven't watched it, but I hope visually it was cool during Soul Planet. The song isn't terrible (albeit generic), but they repeated some of the sections waaaay too many times.

Taylor Swift has used them. I know Coldplay has used them before too. I'm guessing others have as well.

Buy two XXX-Large shirts and cut out the Skull and Bones and sew them together into a flag...
