that guy is such a beast. I'd love to know the backstory

what's more impressive?
the guy losing it over a game of 'magic' cards
or the guy filming the card game in some basement somewhere?

Dude with the camera saw that the other dude was about to lose his shit and got all proactive.

I'll bet the five minutes leaning up to his outburst would make for some outstanding viewing.

Would doubt it, actually. Usually subbed out to the company providing the bracelets

More often than not the best show of Phish's new year's runs isn't the new year's eve show. They're the most fun to be at but the highlights tend to come from the other nights.

Wasn’t vibing the show tonight. Bracelets were cool, but the ship theme and pirate flag seemed so forced and jimmy buffet cheesy.

Snorkel maybe? Breathing underwater through a tube.

First tube and Last Tube were written about surfing. Catching the first and last waves of the day.

I thought the show was good.

Great 2nd set. Fuego>End set was pretty solid.

3rd set is usually a shit show, and ASIHTOS was great. When was the last time there was a solid 3rd set jam on NYE?

Moma was good too.

I think the whole thing is just a little stale. Take a year off. Do something different. More isn’t always better. MSG is starting to feel like Thursday Night Football.

Trey. I read that somewhere a long time ago.

FF to 3:40. At least he explains last tube.

I liked a lot of the second set and the asihtos was a treat. But Caspian through the end was just bad. First tube was the third set closer last year, followed by a loving cup encore. That is plain lazy.

I liked it.

Last year we got a slew of dad rock TAB songs with horns. I’ll take this set 3 any day.

Show started off great, though. Really fun first set. Carini > Suzy > Myfe, Fluff, Reba to start? Yes, please.... every single time.

First tube in the 2 hole and Wolfmans to end a second or third set would be nice. Moma in a third set was a surprise but it fit the theme. And really if waves had been played instead of Caspian and velvet sea ended the set that would be much better to me.

My wristband didn’t work during the third set. It must have died, or I might have gotten it wet. I do remember it working when they were tested briefly during the second set break, but it broke somewhere along the way. Bummer, eh?
