We're good for tonight. Earliest I'd say to log in to mixlr would be about 7:30 EST or so. You won't hear anything until closer to 7:45 but at least you'll know you're connected, I'll know it's working on my end, and we'll be able to listen to some walk in music before the show starts at 8. We'll do a song at the top of the hour, play the first set, intermission song, second set, one final song.

This is in Coz' memory but also in memory of all the other phookers we've lost over the years. That funky little animated candle is for them. If you've posted 100,000 times or once you're forever one of us and family. Post your favorite memories of those who've moved on from this existence, goof around, bring up a favorite phook thread, talk about past shows, laugh your ass off, light a bowl, dance in your pajamas, I don't care as long as it involves you having as good a time as they are at the great gig in the sky.

In the end it was easy going with Pete's favorite Phish show, and I'll be using Charlie Miller's remaster. I didn't realize it was because of Pete that we have this particular source. gottajibboo gave me the heads up with that bit of info and since it has CM's stamp you know it sounds great.

I've never done a couch tour before (I know, I know) and this is absolutely the time to begin.

3/29/90 was his first Dead show. He burnt it for me back in the day and he absolutely loved that show. I did too. It was when he got on the bus to see many more shows.

Whenever I needed a good dead show to listen to, I would text Pete and he'd give me a random date or sometimes just a year.

I'm really having a hard time with this.

Glad for everyone who's checking in so far. Lets keep this thread towards the top until next week.

It definitely won't be the same. He was a staple during regular couch tour and I don't remember him ever missing the ones I put together. Maybe one but that would've been about it.

lol...januszak pm'd me about that earlier and I had thought about it before making the post. If it were Character Zero or Julius it would been easy to Coz the encore. A Day in the Life makes it bit more difficult but we'll see.

Just put everything together for next Thursday night. Looks like it'll run just a little over three hours long, not counting the "entrance" music I picked to play before evening really starts (I always like to make sure people are able to hear what they're supposed to, give them time to work out any kinks if something's wrong on their end) but I promise it'll be well worth it. Should end somewhere around 11 EST or very shortly after.

No tears next Thursday or as few as you can spare. It's an evening to celebrate our friend's memory.

I wish I could make this. 12/30/95 is an excellent choice - it was his favorite. He always said it was what Phish 3.0 shows were trying to be. We've actually done it before in this format, it was the first time I heard the show. I believe Pete listened in.

mixlr is up and running. It may show off air, just tap into the room and it'll be up and running.

Will start playing something shortly.
