Free webcast usually brings a greatest hits show.

I'm thinking they'll showcase some of their best new stuff. Petrichor or Mercury.

Then we'll get a Tweezer/DWD/Ghost/YEM second set deal.

I think it will be a fairly standard show with a 16 minute DWD to open set 2 and an extended BDTNL late in the second set. There will be teases of The Banana Boat Song, but instead of "Day-O" the band will say "Dayton."

Sample in a Jar to open the show.

I doubt the band gives a shit about a free webcast.

I'm sure they know it's happening, but does it really effect the setlist?

It's not like a festival set where they're playing to an audience that might not be theirs. It's just a webcast.

I think they're selling the BD tonight.

Free webcast. See how awesome it is and how well the band is playing.

Make people excited to stream and or buy tickets for MSG. I say tonight is a solid show.

100% what I've been thinking since the free webcast was announced. However there is always the "F you guys" side of PHiSH that makes you think things and then does the opposite just because they find it amusing....so it's 50/50. However we do know they are in the zone (or at least damn close to it) right now, and we can probably assume they know it's going to be hard to sell 13 nights of the same webcast from the same venue to a boatload of fans besides the hardcore fans with deep pockets. Hell I've been fully devoted to this band for 21 years and there is zero chance I will watch more than maybe 3 of the webcasts.

Only if they were using the exact same set up sound and gear wise as '97 and Paul was there would this be cool.

They played the Nutter Center in 1997.

I would agree with that, except they just played it Sunday.

But they were off Monday...so I think these things reset when it comes to songs. It wouldn't be the first time they played a song two shows in a row with a day or two off between shows.

On the new Apple TVs where you can access the app store: yes.
