miss him especially with a FLUFF.

I can respect that.

Must be tough hitting these shows.

I know I thought of him several times last weekend when I was there and we were only phone pals.

I've been thinking of him throughout this entire tour. I miss that guy during couch tour.

I respect your dedication to Coz. They're doing enough interesting shows this run that everyone will have their own favorites.

Are you going tonight?

While Trey was going off about his hometown hero I was trying to figure out if Bruce had a night off from that 15 night Meadowlands stand that year. I missed most of that spiel not paying much attention, all like "I think he played last night...I'm going on this and this night...I think he's off tonight but I'm not sure..."

That's funny. My first RH show was with a bunch of art school students and that's exactly how I described the scene to Hermit and Treef the other night.

I was not an art school student. I didn't fit in :(

i think it's odd that so many people are getting so defensive about a cover that they were never gonna nail, and propping it up as though they did.
how much do you hate rh, mbg?

I'd say ambivalent, not hate.

My true opinion is that the band seemed like they were having fun and it was an excursion into an ambient psychedelic place that they don't always explore.

As such, I enjoyed it.

I don't think it was siiiiiiiiiiiiiiick or anything but I wouldn't have been disappointed to see it live.

as a nitpicking couch listener, it was poorly executed - but highly entertaining to hear them at least try.

Damn, sounds like a bunch of you were listening to a different show last night. Thought it was a great night of Phish.

Loved the loose rubato feel of the Radiohead cover

I'm a huge Radiohead fan and was tickled pink that they did that song.

I wasn't expecting note-for-note perfection. Nor would I want it.

Glad they Phished it up.

The spirit of the song was definitely there - even in the vocals.

I must inquire, can you still have any fun???

It was real fun time that show.

Anyone expecting them to nail the RH is cray-- it was close enough for rock and roll and it was fun.

I personally thought that was one of their better covers.

Frankenstein sucks.

Radiohead was trippy as hell which is what I'm looking for.

My brother was there and is a big Radiohead fan and dug it

I definitely wouldn't be looking for to be good vocally but I would hope they get out there with the end music and effects as Radiohead does

Haven't listened to the show yet. Can't wait to hear the RH number. Y'all who are bent out of shape about it are making me laugh. Never once have I seen a contemporary cover in a Phish setlist and thought "Gee, I bet they play that just like the original!"

I love when they let Fishman sings. Phish is a stupid band. Okay, not stupid. Silly. Phish is silly. Their drummer is in his 50s and has been wearing the same dress on stage for 30 years. He plays a fucking vacuum cleaner. And now he sings a Radiohead song. If you can't get on board with silly you're probably not gonna have fun at a Phish show.

I'd rather hear a whole set of silly Phish than listen to Trey try to "nail" Golden Age again.

Was there and had a blast. Also didn't think it was butchered. Not perfect by any means, but that shouldn't be expected

Also, didn't find too many people last night who were disappointed

Good show last night...not one on my favorites of the run but lots of fun. I love seeing First Tube at the garden...so much energy. Also was happy to catch Dinner and Movie. And was waiting for Fluffhead to come all run. I'd have to listen back to Set 2 to intelligently comment on the jams because I was pretty drunk. Lol. I'm not a Radiohead fan so I don't really care about how good a job Fishman did with the cover. Didn't really think much of the song but I like the concept of them covering a contemporary band.

Been waiting for Boston Cream night all run...pretty pumped

this was the perfect gif to post when Fishman started singing...

I thought it was awesome that they covered it, and they put their own spin on it (not taking it too seriously) by having Fishman warble over it.

it was awesome.

You have the luxury of seeing a lot of live shows, so is this it for you? Done with the Phish? Not doing it do you anymore? I'm just curious

Maybe it's the old less is more thing? Last night is the only show I've had a chance to couch tour for and haven't really been listening to phish at all over the last year or so, and I was floored. Thought it was fucking great. And now I wake up to see read you guys saying it's not even in the top half of the BD run is blowing my mind. Is this where this band is now?

I have to say that the playing this run has been exceptional. We are seriously being spoiled night in and night out. This is the best tour of all 3.0 and I say that with complete certainty.
